The fusion of two great cultures in the 21st century Kyoto: Japanese history & tradition and French gastronomy in a 21st century setting. Each villa is an authentic traditional Japanese « minka » from the Kyoto region. These minkas will be disassembled and renovated with latest technologies. All original elements will be kept intact. Each minka will be flanked by a glass extension in the shape of a cocoon reminiscent of the silk cocoons of the region. This part of the villa will be the bathroom which will « float » over a serpentine pond with carps. A sophisticated silkscreened glass and landscaping will be hiding each bathroom from any visibility by outstanders. Guests will be bathing in these glass bathtubs and take showers in glass showers with view of carps passing under their feet.
